Here is a short manual how to repair your M9, if it doesn't boot into download mode, only bootloader mode.

1. Determine which model do you have, if possible, you need to find out which modification do you have:
UL / WL / UHL / WHL

2. Determine which Android version is running on this phone - 5.1 or 6.0

If you cannot get any of this information - you can simply try all the files, untill it will work.

3. Download file 900001 for Android 6.0 or 900002 for Android 5.1 from our support.

4. Unpack it.

5. Reboot phone into bootloader mode, and then type from terminal or command line:

htc_fastboot flash hosd <filename>

Wait for the operation to finish.
Reboot to download mode. Cannot boot? Try next file.

Yours,
XTC 2 Team
after i do all steps, still no download mode. you can see photo. how can i write firmware?

Hynix is bad. Hynix is very bad.

Did you copied data from corrupted emmc to new one? what should be the dump size?

Redistributing our files outside the support area is not the best idea...

Sorry, but how can I get bootloader?
Replaced eMMC, backed up 512MB of original eMMC dump, now phone powers on with white HTC logo and goes into bootloop (because there is no no system and data). If press vol- and pwrbtn it powers on with black HTC logo and bootloops too. How can I get fastboot?

P.S. Maybe original eMMC dump is corrupted and I need write some partitions directly to eMMC but which partitions should I write to get dload or bootloader mode?

found the way myself:

pressed both vil+ and vol- during reboot and phone was loaded to bootloader.

Then flashed HOSD "n70_hosd_signed_ul_4.27.531.6.img" to my 0PJA200 and after "flash OK" I've got DOWNLOAD mode.

Reading information...
Using Fastboot mode...
Reading common information
(bootloader) kernel: lk
(bootloader) product: htc_himaul
(bootloader) version: 1.0
(bootloader) serialno: HT58JSV01357
(bootloader) current-slot:
(bootloader) imei: 99000******3548
(bootloader) version-main: 3.41.651.4
(bootloader) boot-mode: download
(bootloader) version-baseband: 3.00.C1144084@60114
(bootloader) version-bootloader: 1.0.0.0000
(bootloader) mid: 0PJA20000
(bootloader) cid: 11111111

Just do not understand why PID is hima_ul and mid is (USA GSM version for Tmobile or ATT)
but
imei starts from 99000 like hima_wl or hima_whl and version-main: 3.41.651.4 says it is Sprint phone

did I flashed a wrong HOSD?

Yes, I did.
reflashed another HOSD "n70_hosd_signed_whl_4.27.651.4.img"
and now phone shows correct info:

(bootloader) product: htc_himawhl
(bootloader) version: 1.0
(bootloader) serialno: HT58JSV01357
(bootloader) current-slot:
(bootloader) imei: 9900******53548
(bootloader) version-main: 3.41.651.4
(bootloader) boot-mode: download
(bootloader) version-baseband: 3.00.C1144084@60114
(bootloader) version-bootloader: 1.0.0.0000
(bootloader) mid: 0PJA20000
(bootloader) cid: 11111111

Must say that sprint version works with both HOSD files: UL and WHL versions
