im pretty sure my clip is dead, it detects when connecting it to my laptop, it can be flashed with win32 and its a fresh ribbon cable (As i said i can connect it to the laptop and authorise to connect to the ruu downloads page and remove frp) but my issue is that no htc will detect it via its sdcard. either say that
"NOT_FIND_SMART_IO" or with older phones such as an m8 the device will not reboot to bootloader mode with the clip attached and boots up to when its removed.

any advice or is it a warranty job ?

Contact reseller if in warranty period
If not than i read in sticky that you must resolder chip inside clip carefully

im guessing its the U2 chip ? im sure my device is out of warranty as I've had it for almost 2 years.
