This error:

sd init fail

must need of ceck for first, has been reported 1000 times, of ceck you Sd Card reader and if continue getting this error change the Bad sd card reader that are using.

Later can work in these Old phones w/o problem in Legacy mode if fail normal mode.

Ceck also Y cable and if Smart card is inserted correct...seem of yes but you need of Insert First Flex in Slot Sd Card and later put in Download mode, (recovery).

For Direct Mode. Otherwise can do in Sd Mode and is more easy.
