Y-Cable and HTC One M7 Question

Hello, I'm trying to unlock an HTC One M7. As you know I cannot directly plug in the XTC2Clip tool since it doesn't have an SD card reader. In that I have the Y cable to connect the device to the PC and tool. This is my set up however the it does not connect. What am I missing from my set up? How do I unlock the M7 and other non-SD card phones?

Hello!

What do you mean by 'not connect'? You cannot use direct mode or any other PC-related modes while using Y cable.
Your phone will NOT be detected by PC in this mode.
You should use 'sim-lock' menu in Hboot to S-OFF first.
Then you can connect phone back to PC and perform other desired operations.

Okay, what should I be doing??

I have a HTC One M7 Sprint phone.

I tried to do the sprint unlock option but it says for M7 I need to do s-off. How do I do S-off without an SD card port?

Please tell me specific instructions because I'm unable to find it.

Hello sir,

Sorry for confusion. You'll need a special cable called Y-cable for models without SD slot, like M7.
It's not included with XTC 2 Clip, but you can make it yourself, if you have basic soldering knowledge.

use sd mode tab for s-off
select only s-off
than insert clip to sd card reader and connect it to y-cable
than connect y-cable to phone in powered off
give power to y-cable and power up phone holding volume down button
select simlock option on screen

first of all,

id like to thank mr xtc2clip for hands down the most amazing complete tool to service a specific brand I have ever seen, I recently came across 150 htc phone and right away purchased the clip,

UNBELIEVABLE PRODUCT, the best "BOX" tool I have, much easier than doing this on your own, all the scripts are all prewritten and avail at the push of a button, well worth the cost, I alsmost want to buy newer htcs for fun but I have them up to the m9 I believe I may have a 10 im not sure, slight learning curve as with any box, but the guy provides amazing support, ok to the guy with the m7 issue

you need to go to the sd tab and hook the box up directly to the computer, save the cid to 111111 and then security to s-off and then hit save to clip, then remove the clip and attach it to the y adapter, and a wall plug did not work for me, btw I had to use a computer, second problem is that only one specific sd card reader worked for me which they have at the walmarts in my area I don't even know if you have walmarts where you are but it looks kind of like a light bulb shape and is sandisk brand and comes with the sandisk sd card in certain packs, all the other ones did not work, these are all steps you must follow for this phone

finally, im having server issues again, is this just me or everyone?

thanks

also, Mr Xtc2Clip, if you ever plan to do a different brand development please let me know thanks

Hello sir,

Thank you very much for your kind words!

As to the server, I don't see any problems, can you please tell me, which server do you mean? We have download server for flash files, activation server and regular server for XTC 2 Tool. Thanks.
