You can do it with isp method if you have UMT EMMC Tool,after extract firmware you can boot repair phone.

Dear friend UMT, i've one Xiaomi Redmi note 8T, have asked more of one time if was possible "Imei Repair" in this model.

Can be i haven't read good also last update 5.8, but if can explain to me if is possible with AUTH service do this IMEI REPAIR in this model.

How you think it is a bug?

Check if sec partiton has sec.dat as file entry and this file really exists in firmware folder.
