enable diag port for asus zenfone 3 ze520kl or ze552kl


first in the world
enable diag port for asus zenfone 3 ze520kl or ze552kl
adb devices
adb shell
su
setprop sys.usb.config rndis,diag,adb
-unlock bootloader
-downgrade to 6.0

2) download recovery and boot img files
- under the folder

3) Go to fastboot mode (power + vol up)

- flash recovery.img (command: fastboot flash recovery recovery.img)
- flash boot.img (command: fastboot flash boot boot.img)

4) reboot to recovery (power + vol down)

5) install update form micro sd card.
set the file UL-ASUS_Z017D_1-WW-13.20.10.152-user.zip that you saved earlier

6) wipe cache

7) factory reset

8) flash custom recovery (twrp)
9) root
enable diag port :
adb devices
adb shell
su
setprop sys.usb.config rndis,diag,adb
.......................all done.....................

but it works on android 7.0 as degrade it without leaving it imei null or unknown baseband

Hi
yes, your method works, it works to enable the diag mode (Windows detect the COM port) but this method for some reason which currently I dont know it doesnt work to repair or modify the IMEI (using any box e.g miracle or falcon). This is very rare because the port is detected and I suposse most of us search how to enable the diag mode is to repair or modify the IMEI of our asus phone ( in this case ZE520KL ).

If you could repair the IMEI, could you show us how to do it? please
