Help with Xda Mini S - GSM-Forum

Hey, i just got a xda mini s a few days ago and went to send a text with it today and it came up saying "phone is not ready please wait 15 seconds", I can make phone calls though, I have looked around on the net for a solution but so far no luck, i think it has something to do with the rom, not sure though, any help will be greatly appreaciated.

Rom Version 2.21.4.1 WWE
Rom Date 3/9/06
Radio Version 02.07.10
Protocol Version 413.1.03
Extrom Version 2.21.4.101

May be you need to hard reset it...

Hard reset procedure:

hold comm manager button (the one on the left), power (on the top) and voice dial button (the one on the right) at same time, and while holding them press soft reset buttton. release soft reset button (stil holding top 3 buttons and format screen will appear. pres green button and that's it.

Ok, i tried to do this, this morning and its still has not worked, one thing though when i went through the set up i had a choice of gprs or gsm and im not sure which one of them i needed so i left it on gprs, could you tell me what that is for?

I think it may be my sim card you know lol, i tried another one in it today same network just PAYG and that worked, the one im on at the moment is a 30 day contract sim, any ideas why this would affect it?
