Mio A702 ROM upgrade! - GSM-Forum

I've got a problem while trying to make an hard reset to a mio a702:the phone stays locked on mio logo and don't go further.
It's original rom version is R38.4.123;who can help me with a software for make it an upgrade or how can I make it to be in the same mode like it was before hard reset?

These will say download period expired,just click on "start the download again".
1.In Activesync settings menu untick "allow USB connections"
2.On MIO press volume up+reset,it will enter boot mode,connect USB cable
3.Run Chiffchaff,load ROM file,press update

Do it for your own responsibility!I have never done it,I got it from another forum.

I've encountered a worse problem with this Mio because didn't get boot mode when I pres volume up and reset butons!

This rom it's good;the phone was succesfully flashed and it's working OK.The problem was from volume keys for not entering in boot mode.

I couldn't find WM6.1 ROM.
You can find a new modded ROM for A702 here:

For the others who can't read the hungarian pages:
It is a modded ROM with hungarian lokalization (I think you can skip installation or switch it off in Sunnysoft menu)
-more free RAM (~5 MB)
-more stable
-faster

i have a problem, i fink, i put dis rom R45 on my mio a702 and is dosen`t work :|
i du exacly he ses and after restart si the same wm R38

i don`t now what is the problem
