There's a Treo Russian server (quite slow, actually) where you can find all those TT5x maps, including Austra and Western Europe, and much more.

try hard reset the phone, then re install active sync... seems like there is a conflict with your registry in the device, locking up the device bec it has a previous activesync partnership already... now if you're adept in browsing the registry, then you can look for that key and not go through the hard reset... me, i spent 2 hours looking for that but got tired and just hard reset the device to get it over with

I was having the same problem but i solved it.
What you need to do is check you firewall settings, make sure ActiveSync is allowed full access. It will work 100%.
Let me know if it worked otherwise i can try help you further.

I have the same problem when using Active Sync 4.1 on my laptop (I have my QTEK S200 sync'd with two PCs, office & laptop)
With the office's one, no problem. With the notebook, sometimes if connected by usb cable, I have the identical never ending "CONNECTING" as above.
If I connect activesync via bluetooth, everything works fine with the laptop.. though.

But an HARD reset is TOO HARD TO ME !

Any other hint ?

Looking forward for Windows Vista Mobile Device Center!!!!

I have Agnitum Outpost Firewall and all the ActiveSync apps were full-trusted, but I traced the connection and the IP request was refused by the firewall itself, so until I shutted it down, the green icon lasted spinning!
And suddendly ....

MANY THANKS AGAIN !

Pfuiii... An hard reset is a very bad thing, with 25+ installed apps...
