Sidekick III, I have code, but waiting for activation - GSM-Forum

I bought the code for a sidekick III, I put in another Sim card, it ask for the code, I enter the code, but now get this message

T-Mobile

Waiting for Activation
A welcome screen will appear within 48 hrs, if it does not, call customer care to check your account status. Untill then press --- to make emergency calls

this screen has been there for over 48 hrs. how do I solve this, and make calls with other sim card than T-Mobile. ( I did a factory reset and same problem)

please help unlock sidekick 3 tmobile usa imei ************** and to get passed activation screen hold menu and press L if u didnt get it by now

hold menu and press L it should show where to enter code.i have one too bt when i do so,it shows searching.it does not ask for code!! am confused i dont konw what to do with that.

what is "L" were is it in keypad?

press menu + L to bypass the activation screen
menu is top key outside, and L is the L key

Do i have to do this each time the phone is powered off and back on?

no, u just have to do it the first time. the phone is thinking u are activating it. thats why ask for "activation". once u do that the phone works normally.
