I said earlier that I will unlock 6315 Hp. Yes I am close enough i will give you details in a couple of days by May 13 to be precise.(On or Before0
The first person to call me then will get free unlock codeswhich you will enter into your pda and the person will shout it loud here that it is unlock. I am going to put the code on this forum for the person so others can know that it is true.

Hello, I am a new member to this forum!

Solutions to Unlock:

1) Ok, it seems you can unlock only through t-mobile, after being with them for 90 days, however try and call t-mobile even if 90days have not passed. I purchased a USED t-mobile sim card from ebay for $5 and called in. Although the sim card was activated only from 50days the t-mobile customer care sent me the unlock code through sms.

2) Search on ebay for keywords, unlock h6315, many people offer to unlock for a price ranging from $20-60. You send the Imei number, they send you the code.

3) Pay some website to do the work and send you the code.

Just to add information to all the threads I have read for the h6315, I want to specify that:

a. Updating Rom, will not affect/unlock the phone.

b. Changing rom types (although the original rom software from hp won't let you do this) from h6315 to h6325, h6340 or h6365 won't unlock it either. I have found a way to change the rom, and this will only unbrand it from t-mobile but will NOT unlock it.

c. Changing rom languages (although the original rom software from hp won't let you do this) from the english h6315 won't unlock it either. I have found a way to change the t-mobile h6315 to a different language (italian, french, spanish, german), and this will only unbrand it from t-mobile and change the language but will NOT unlock it. However once unlocked if you update the rom, or change the language the phone will remain unlocked.

d. I have been working on a way to find an algorithm, to calculate the unlock code and have come up with the first 2 digits. I have understood how to calculate 4 other digits but haven't got the mathematical background to do it. The unlock code is made of 8 digits. I have 3 unlock codes and imei's that I paid to get unlocked and now am working on the way to find an algorithm. If anyone feels he can do this to, I can email him my work in excel, on condition that if he finds a solution he lets me know.

OK I guess this stuff isn't new to most people. However there must be a software out there that does the job, since there are people who sell the codes.


Since I have some h6315 to unlock I prefer to have the software to unlock them (even paying for it) than buy codes off ebay.

THEREFORE I am willing to pay $200 USD for anyone who can find the unlock software. I need this fast, so don't wait to email me. Please email me anyway if you have the software, know how to unlock from Imei's or any other information that is not written on this post, that can help me out.

it does not have to be a certain algorythm, the 8 digit code could be also random generated and on a list like motorola, and ppl who pay for it get the code thru someone who has access to this list. I believe you wasting your time to look for a algo for hp unlock codes, but of course you can try.
And doing the work to develop the unlock software is worth more than 200 us, I think you have to offer at least a 4 digit number for that.

t-mobile or cingular, both can be unlocked, by buying the code or free if you are a 3 months subscriber to their network.

Ok people here is the steps how you can unlock youre 6315 :

1. Enable the Phone feature !!!!

2. START -> SETTINGS -> PHONE BAND

3. TAP THE KEYBOARD ICON (small, down right corner )

4. tap SHIFT , tap CTRL

5. tap under BAND SELECTION rectangle (white space)

a menu will apear where u need to enter the code i provide for you for 20$ based on imei.
