Some say that tested beta versions on MPx200, others say that hasnīt enough memory and that had to add SD card, other say that thereīs some ROMīs but they are locked to install on just certain units with specified IMEI... In the end... is possible or what? Thanks |

Go here: www.drugstore.gsmhosting.net/Support/Motorola/ Username : gsmforum Password : motorola And u will find: Generic 1.43 PTB_US - This is v1.43 generic (no network themes and etc) with PTB (Portuguese-Brazilian) and US languages MPX200 and MPX220 Driver - This is the usb driver. When u connect your usb cable to your phone should ask for this (if not installed already, of course). Motorola Mobile Upgrade Wizard - This is the software that is used to flash/upgrade your phone. ROM 1.49 - This is generic version of v1.49 (which is the latest I think. At least officially. I know there´s some *****ered asian versions around, which contains some beta as windows media player 11 and etc...) Ok, download what u need then is quite easy. Unpack the rar files u downloaded. Phone is unplugged for now. - Install Motorola Mobile Upgrade Wizard - Start it and press next - Select MPx220 in model list and press next - Now take your phone battery off - Press Next and choose the firmware. Here u go to the folder u unpacked the ROM (or 1.43PTB_US or the 1.49). The soft will only show u the MLF files, usually just 1 with 1,90kb of size. Select it and press open. - Press Next and wait few seconds, software will convert files and getting ready to flash. It will ask to plug the usb cable. Plug the usb cable to your phone WITHOUT battery and press ok. It will detect your phone and flash it. Should take around 7 or 8 minutes to complete. - When done, unplug the cable, insert the battery and a SIM card and power on. It will make a master reset on first power on. No worrie this is default function. When master reset done, power on again and all done. First start may take few minutes. But is normal too. Hope you do it without any trouble. I´m sure u will |

When done, I´ll report it here. |
