Mi5 - dead, no power - GSM-Forum

My Mi5 went dead in pocket . After connecting it with charger ( original from Xiaomi ) it start to heat up on back side but no LED or screen light up. I connected it to PC and try to flash a new software through MiFlash tool and it went without errors, but the phone still wont turn on . Fastboot and recovery mode works ( PC recognize at all when Mi5 is in fastboot and recovery mode ) . So I tried to left it turned on ( disconnect battery, reconnect it again and press power button for a second ) . It is start to heat up again . After 10-12h I connect it to charger and it shows me red LED light . I left it on charger for all night, in the morning the LED was not light up , but when I try to turn it on , then LED light up green ( weaker and stronger , blinking ) .

With fastboot command I see that the battery is charging very well ( when it is empty, voltage is about 3.447V , when it is fully charged it is 4.663V ) .

Is that problem with my battery or maybe something else as PMIC ( PMI8994 ) ?

I will try with new battery.
Device is very hot all around CPU and PMIC when it is on charger .

I solve the problem by changing PMI8994 IC chip.
But now device is locked to Mi account of previous owner , he forgot email and password so now the phone is useless because I cant remove that account from phone.

Already contacted Xiaomi with all details and pictures of phone, imei sticker on the box and a receipt fron shop to prove that is not stolen but they cant help .

I dont have BST Dongle , so is there anybody that can help to remove Mi account ?

bro simply downgrade it with miui 7.

Yes, I already downgraded to Global 7.2.4.0 in MiFlash with option " flash all " but after setup I get an error " This device is locked " .
Is there any other method ?

Hello! Is there any possibility that you have humidity on the motherboard?
