now i read whole thread from beginning but my problem not slove i tried with ota but not connnect with ota and u post all link for download rom is down have u soluation for my phone only white led when insert usb

Hello

I have a different problem on an idol x + model is 6043A its Canadian Telus(Koodo) brand and brand new in box, just opened and power up, after loading home screen it keeps popping up a dialog "Unfortunately, ONETOUCH Launcher has stopped. " and there is an ok button to click but it keeps coming back after click ok thus not possible to access inside the phone, I have already factory/cache reset from recovery menu but still same error every time after powers up!

I'm thinking to flash to factory fw and came to this thread, what do you suggest?

I have a similar model from the same carrier so if there is a way to restore the installed fw from that phone and to use on the other one, it will be great for many looking for a solution for the Canadian version of this model.

It should be possible.

take a look about how to make readback - HERE

- Download SPflashTools (google it)
- Download attached scatter+preloader,
- Start SPFlashTools, load scatter
- in SPFlash tab "READBACK", click ADD, select save loacation, file name,
after double click on new field, anter :
start: 0x0 ; length: 0x6a800000
- Press start, connect powered off device to cable
- Wait for finish
- in SPFT, press ctrl+alt+v,
- drop down menu "Window" - select "write memory"
- new tab will appear - "Write memory"
- select file that was readed in previous steps (file path)
- in "begin address" put 0x0
- press "write memory", connect powered off device to cable
- wait for finish, disconnect, power up device with "volume up" key holding
- from recovery - do factory reset / erase all

done. you have same firmware on another device.

p.s. this is pure firmware backup. if you want copy userdata and cache from working device - end address for readback is : 0xBE800000

try and post results.
