Dell password request thread.. - Page 304 - GSM-Forum

I have what looks to be the dreaded Dell 7 digit serial/service tag and the 8 digit password unlock hint code... I am locked out of my BIOS and cannot use my machine which is a Dell Inspiron 17R 7720 SE with Phoenix A18 SecureCore Tiano BIOS. I have attempted to use several online generators and also a few of the downloaded executable generators with no luck. I have read thru many posts and it seems like people with Dell l502x,l702x,n7110,7720,5720 all have this same problem with not being able to get a code that works.

Here are my numbers:
Service Tag: H4H81W1
Current "Password\Unlock Hint" code: 25976DD9 (changes every 3rd attempt)

I have been searching and searching for anyone the had this scenario in the posts that have successfully requested a code and it worked. I have been doing this to try to determine which online tool they used and correct sequence of upper\lower casings.. I have only found one from 2013 where user "fonexp" (with a l502x submitted service tag: 30JP0Q1 and unlock hint of D830167E) and user "rithien" replied with unlock code 0dff817c, and user "fonexp" replied that it worked. But I have yet to find any generator that will output "0dff817c" with the numbers that fonexp supplied. I am at a loss and would most appreciative if someone could help me out. many thanks in advance.

because it's hard to supply password when the passwrd change each rboot/ or 3 wrongs passwrds.

so you need to be online!
