BT headset and voice calls/sound recording.
Hi to all
Im new user of Bluetooth headset and have a question. Im using a jabra BT-200 Bluetooth headset paired with my laptop through a Acer BT- 700 dongle with WIDCOMM 1.4.1.6 soft and when speaking on Skype for example, the sound quality is bad. I can perfectly hear what the user im speaking with is saying but when I talk, the user says that my voice sounds very metallic and some words cuts off. I have tried speaking using the internal mic in my Dell Inspiron 5000 and this works OK. Im running WinXP Pro and have tried different drivers for the installed ESS Maestro 2E soundcard. When Im recording my own voice and replay this sequence, it's running too fast, sounds allmost like mickey mouse. Anyone have experience with Bluetooth Audio Gateway and Skype or other. |

I have exactly the same problem.
I'm using the 1.4.1.6 with Windows XP Pro with ACER BT-700 dongle and Jabra BT200 headest and the symptoms are the same. I can listen to Media Player or listen to Skype or anything, but when I speak to Skype, the other person cannot understand what I'm saying. Sound recorder records either noise or a file that plays too fast. I have an on-board SoundMAX card (on ASUS P4P800 Deluxe). Did you find a solution? |

Oh yeah, I also tried disabling the sound card int the BIOS and then the only sound card I have is the Bluetooth Audio.
Also the same symptoms. So I don't think it's sound card related... |

Sorry, too fast with submitting reply. Now U see, I have configured my computers to run dual boot, so I can boot in Win98 or WinXP Pro. My solution is to install ur WIDCOMM soft in Win98 , I discovered that soundrecording is working 100% here, and after installing Skype ,now the person Im speaking with can hear me, not perfect but much better and we can have a normal conversation. My conclusion:WinXP and Bluetooth HSP does not work prober enough. Try to read my topic in general discussion on Skype forum. |
