I'm hoping someone can help me with this.
I recently purchased and built a shuttle XPC system. I was pretty excited since they had an internal bluetooth module that you could install. I bought the Microsoft bluetooth keyboard and mouse in hopes of using them together. Unfortunately, the drivers that come with the internal bluetooth module are the Widcomm 1.2 which does not support HID. I can use the Microsoft drivers to connect to the mouse and keyboard, but the mouse is really slow, and then I can't connect to my cell phone. The cell phone part isn't a huge deal right now, but it would be nice if it worked. I also have a dlink dongle that I use for my laptop to connect to my cell phone. I tried installing the dlink drivers, but they wanted a security code, and I couldn't get that to work. I've read on here about hacking some other drivers. I'm fairly fluent with all of this, but new to bluetooth. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Lotan |

I am fairly new here, but i think I can help you out. I would advice you to use the Widcomm drivers 1.4.2.10 SP5. I have found these to be the best barring TDK 1.3.2.19 (no support for HID).
The download link is here . Dont worry about the winCE thing. I am using it on WinXP currently and it works fine. Now you will have to patch the files before it works and detects your bluetooth module. I can send you the files. Mail me at d.kiran@sify.com . I have patched the files myself since the files available here gave explorer.exe errors. All you have to do is copy the exe files to your bluetooth install folder and the one dll file to windows\system32. Preferably do this in the safe mode and reboot. Once you are done you have to walk through the wizard which is fairly simple. HTH |
