Slow Mouse?
Thanks to everyone for their help in getting my internal bluetooth working with my Microsoft Keyboard and Mouse.
Unfortunately, the mouse is very slow... Too slow to be usable. The internal bluetooth module was made by Bluetake, and I ordered it through Shuttle. Shuttle's support is really horrible, so I'm turning to the forum for ideas again. I have tried pairing the keyboard and mouse with my dlink module, and it works a lot better. Has anyone else had problems like this? Thanks in advance. Lotan |

By the way, could this have anything to do with the version of firmware that the dongle has? How do I figure this out, and how do I upgrade it?
Thanks again Lotan |

I dont know about yout mouse problem. If you want to find out about your firmware version--
Right click on the bluetooth icon in the systemtray (next to the time) and select on the advanced configuration. In that select the hardware tab and you will find the info you need. I am not sure about this but I remember reading in geekzone forums that you should have 524 and above version for proper HID support. In case you are not aware of it. you could go to their website. It is pretty good. GeekZone HTH |

I have used the Widcomm stack ver 1.4.2.10 SP4 and noticed the mouse lag. I upgraded to the ver 1.4.2.18 as per the message thread on this board and have had a vast improvement in mouse movement. BTW I have a CSR Radio with ver 505 firmware.

Version 505 seems pretty standard for the microsoft bluetooth dongle.
Most other bluetooth dongles have a newer firmware, but i wouldnt recommend trying to update the microsoft device with another manufacturers firmware as someone else tried and killed their ms dongle. |
