New Solution for Unlocking M55 v11 phones without testpoint! - GSM-Forum

Hi! If You have fine worked, but locked phone Siemens M55 v.11, which can't communicate with Freia 9_162C through "Bootcore bug", You may try this solution:
1. Download this JAVA program: http://users.i.com.ua/~dmitry_z/pm55amd.zip , run it on the phone, you see blank screen, press 39116 - You must see counter: 1,2,3,...,9 then phone turns off. Turn on phone and run this program again. If You see message "Already OK", this is, that Your bootcore is patched and now You can read/write Your phone in Freia through "Patched bootcore" and can't update firmware with winswup - it's REALLY work!
2. Flash Your phone's Bootcore with Bootcore from fullflash M55 factory-flashed with firmware v.4 or v.7, not tested with v.10 (in Freia choose "Patched bootcore", phone model "M55"), after that You cannot flash phohe with Freia, but You can easy DOWNGRADE phone firmware with winswup v.10 - it's REALLY works too!
3. After downgrading phone's firmware to v.10 run this JAVA program again and repeat step 1.
4. Read phone log with Freia (choose "Patched bootcore") and what You see in Freia's log? No strings like "COMM_LoadBoots : EEPROM IMEI (17) is corrupt" or "COMM_LoadBoots : found SIEMENS M55 lgX vff (1)"!!!
What do You think? Do You can now unlock Your Siemens M55 v.10 (previously factory-flashed v.11) with Freia?

what is the "bootcore bug"?????

because, with teh M55, the phone did not want to "turn on" with me...it just says..."turn on phone" and i turn on the phone and nothing happens...

is that hte bug????

And probale it works, because it uses a bug in java engine

I have download this file pm55amd,and I can not see any exe file how can upload java into my phone .I have only .jar .jad file.Please tell me how to run java files on my M55 version 11.MAybe this is stupid question,but I realy need help.Tx

Donwload the Siemens Data Suite from the Siemens HP www.my-siemens.com

install it and connect your phone with pc. Now u can see the flex mem contet of your phone. Open the Java/jam dir and copie the patch dir with jad and jar files into it.

Now u can start the patch from Java menu of phone!

And some notes more:
"Bootcore bug" located not in bootcore, but in processor's ROM, and in new M55 v.11 factory-flashed phones no longer exist.
In any way, don't flash Your M55 v.11 phone with "clean" fubu v.10 or any other, because the only one way to communicate with software like Freia (without making testpoint) is through patched bootcore. If You can't turn on Your phone then You can't run JAVA-programs on it and patch bootcore again. If phone don't have patched bootcore, the only way is make testpoint.
It seems, You can flash bootcore with bootcore from any other working M55 and Your phone stil alive - not 100% tested!
Bootcore flashing is NOT SAFE!
Bootcore patching with JAVA-applet is 97% safe.

It's looks like work for flash id 1201 only, not for all flash types.

I have done exactly as you have it writted,it was my first time trying to upload java proggy to phone and it was succesfull

Without any problem I have done it!
First I was sceptic abuot this solution but I´ve sad let´s try it.
And everythibng was ok,phone is working and my *******r is happy,he didn´t lose garantie on his phone(no testpoint cutting is very important to most of my *******rs).
All in all,thx m8 for this solution.
Maybe it isnt´t your work completely but you are the one who has shared it with all of us.

P.S.
I have had only V.10 bootcore to try with,this means it´s working with all wersions of it.
