Lightbulb Using Sl45 as a path-tracking device

I noticed that the interest in Net Monitor data increased in relation to the capability of SL45 as a device to provide the users with the opportunity to get information about their geographic position. Here is a link to my main point reference;

http://www.willassen.no/msl/diplom.html

If we manage to get net monitor data from the phone via "SMS Command", then we can map the data in order to find the location of the user. This can be used for multiple purposes as it is described in the link given above.

Previously I have posted a message in relation to this link and the usage of SL45 as a tracking device; "Net Monitor Data for Phone Tracking", here is the link to my post;

http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/sho...7&page=96&pp=15

I hope this thread can attract the interest of SL45 community and especially patchers who have capacity to handle with this issue.

Regards,

Naransula

I want to share all the knowledge about this thread. There is already a private message sent to me. But considering the similar questions I want to post it also here;

Additionally I believe that it is better to discuss the topic publicly not individually. Hope to see new messages here;

i am very interested. i want to track my car

My point is that it is possible to realize phone tracking by employing java programmes. One of the examples is provided by mamaich's Java Test Program and associated binary files which acquire the net monitor data from the phone. Another java programme which should be considered in relation to phone tracking is SecureSMS java Programme and "sending SMS to a predefined number when SIM card is changed" patch of abomin and SiNgle. My idea is that these two different set of java programmes and patches can be processed together in order to track the location of the phone. The first part of the programme gets the monitor data from the phone and the secon part of the programme sends the acquired information to a predefined phone number. Then we can track the location of the phone easily. The problem is that we should process the information sent by the phone. The information sent by the phone will be the identification number of the base station of which the phone is located within the influence area. Additionally it will send also the information about the six nearest base station. The link I attached to my post illustrates the employment of these information in determination of the location of the phone.

I hope this information can help you, there is no java programme and associated patch file for the purpose I have described but my point is that we have already the desired inputs for this. And I think it is not a difficult task for those who are experinced in Java programming and patch making.

Best wishes,

Naransula

here is a primitive path-tracking patch-java combination designed employing various midlets and patches available on the gsm-forum;

you should need to apply following patches:

; *** Midlets through entrypoints ****
; Firmware: SLIK56
; Author: abomin
; Release: January 03, 2004

and

;BLACKLIST for SL45v56:
;implemented by Lalo

I employ M (or m) option in Lalo's patch as an entry to the following;

27e770: daa248dedae048c8db00

this re-direction first rejects the incoming call by the number marked in the post code as M and then starts M.jad placed in the directory a:\java\s\

M.jad starts the midlet that I have previously submitted on the forum;

http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=176253

this midlet sends IMEI, LAC and CI information to a pre-defined phone number

now if you have another sl45 in your car, you can track the location of your car based on base station information. i rather use this package in order to learn the location of my mum who is getting older and i am worried about her becuase of any heart attack or any other emergency situation.

@Naransula
I use the old SecureSMS and applied the Midlet through entry points and the UNDO for SecureSMS which is this:
44EB9E: 3D 0D.
How come when i use your SECURITY SMS, it doesnt send a SMS to the specified number? It does start the midlet when the sim is changed but the sms is not sent
Also, is this correct for the new blacklist:

;A or a as post-code for Autoanswer
;B or b as post-code for Busy
;M or m as post-code for tracking
;R or r as post-code for Reject (or blacklist)

0x030E9A: DC4DD4EC0400 CC00DAC790DD

0x27DD90: FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF DC4DD4EC040088E046FE45003D28D740
0x27DDA0: FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF 0C00F2F16C3247F241002D1647F26100
0x27DDB0: FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF 2D1347F242002D1347F262002D1047F2
0x27DDC0: FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF 4D002D1047F26D002D0D47F252002D0D
0x27DDD0: FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF 47F272002D0A0D0BDAA224DE0D08DAA2
0x27DDE0: FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF A4DE0D05DAA25CDF0D02DAA248DE98E0
0x27DDF0: FFFF DB00
0x27e770: FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF daa248dedae048c8db00

and, do i change the Z.jad and rename it to M.jad?

BTW, great idea.

@Lalo: thanks for compliments actually you and other masters deserve best compliments. I just combined some pieces of bytes, that's all

@charlielao: you should apply the following,

0x27DDEA: DAA248DE dac770e7

it would be better if you have both Z.jad and M.jad. just copy Z.jad somewhere else and then rename it as M.jad and then copy M.jad back to a:\java\s\

@Naransula,
This is what i have,

blacklist patch:

;A or a as post-code for Autoanswer
;B or b as post-code for Busy
;M or m as post-code for Tracking
;R or r as post-code for Reject (or blacklist)

0x030E9A: DC4DD4EC0400 CC00DAC790DD

0x27DD90: FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF DC4DD4EC040088E046FE45003D28D740
0x27DDA0: FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF 0C00F2F16C3247F241002D1647F26100
0x27DDB0: FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF 2D1347F242002D1347F262002D1047F2
0x27DDC0: FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF 4D002D1047F26D002D0D47F252002D0D
0x27DDD0: FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF 47F272002D0A0D0BDAA224DE0D08DAA2
0x27DDE0: FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF A4DE0D05DAA25CDF0D02dac770e798E0
0x27DDF0: FFFF DB00
0x27e770: FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF daa248dedae048c8db00

and I used your SECURE SMS and added it to my a\java\jam\ folder,
i added M.jad and Z.jad to a\java\s\ folder
but when i use M to the postcode of my incoming caller, my phone does not reject and send a sms to the specified number inside the storage
also, if i change the sim of my phone, the midlet starts but still does no send sms
Sorry for all my questions. I think this is a great idea of yours and can be very useful to us

@charlielao: I checked your procedure and it seems that there is nothing wrong. everything is ok on my phone. if the midlet starts but does not send any message, then is there any error message? i will try to make a more proper package but i am really busy these days.

No, there is no error message. When i use the old SECURESMS, the phone starts the midlet and says " please wait" and there is a blank screen with a line at the top of the screen, then it sends the sms. But if use your SECURE SMS, the phone just says "please wait" and then goes back to the main screen, but no sms is sent

for the BLACKLIST+TRACKING,
the M postcode doesnt reject the incoming caller,
for the new GPS SMS midlet,
when i try to open it in the java, the midlet starts but still doesnt send the sms. There is no error message.

@Naransula
This is an excelent job.
The next step would be to merge it with a map picture program (in mobile) so you know where you are. In fact, I am working on a similar patch, although first I have to get maps for my street/city/country.
Congratulations.

@charlielao: really strange, but i don't know how we can solve your problem. a path-tracking package would be the best solution ... if i have time i will arrange that package.

@all: is there anybody else who experienced similar problems as reported by charlielao ?

@fcotrina: actually there is already a chinese midlet you see where you are based on base station information i want to integrate it with chaos map viewer as its image capacity larger than the chinese one. you can find this chinese midlet on the forum, i have initiated a thread for gps midlets previously. Master Riza mentioned that he could prepare a patch that can be used for this purpose and it would not have any image size restrictions but he has not been availabe on the forum for nearly two months or more.
