Themes for SX1 - GSM-Forum

I see that many themes for SX1, but when I download and try to aplicate
it Can't (remebering that only for 6600 or 7610)
I want to ask To Master, how to aplicate?
what should I do???
anyone have photo acute that compatibel for SX1??

SX1 doesn't support theme changing...

Humm... it´s seems simple.
Only need to change firmware instructions of Z: to E:

First copy EdiPic.MBM from z:\system\data\ to MMC.
With Winhex, open 07102004-K1_SiemensvA114_signed.exe (firmware), edit primary memory on unicode mode, look for z:\.system\.data\ that should be Z.:.\.S.y.s.t.e.m.\.D.a.t.a.\.E.d.i.P.i.c...m.b.m, change it to E.:.\.S.y.s.t.e.m.\.D.a.t.a.\.E.d.i.P.i.c...m.b.m, save and flash... seem very simple.

Harder seems the "theme builting"...

But if you want to create valuable theme that read further. We create two files by the size of y"8khyeya and y"'kh'8, the first file part which will stand on skrinservere, the second file this is upper part. We go in it inet and we search for themes for Nokia 6600 or 7610. We copy the picture, which we videm on the site, chtoto type stripped picture from the screen. We put picture in our grafficheskiy editor. And we further drive on everything according to the sizes. Upper part into size BMP, and lower in GIF. Further we start Bitmap Convertor and we select "Add Bitmap" (in the figure it is designated as 1 point), we select there EidPic0.bmp EidPic1.bmp EidPic2.bmp EidPic3.bmp EidPic4.bmp. We place galochku near "24 bits" (in the figure it is designated as 6 point) and we harvest "Create MBM"(na figure it is designated as 4 point).
We push in into file EidPic.mbm in e:\.systam\.data. It is reloaded and in the honeycomb we go in the "menu" = > of "tuning" = > "telephone" = > the "standby mode" = > "background picture" = > "yes" and we select your skrinserver, which approaches your theme.

This is what came out in me. "

I personally don´t have the time needed to try this, but when have a time, will do it

...i have fullscreen wallpapers and sis theme installed made by me and neodigital people.....

An user has made a program that put pics in mbm fileS and create the sis installation file with an UNIC UID (ordered from symbian developer)

it's simple

A) Your firmware MUST BE PATCHED (i use fw12 with stefanoG patch for fullscreen wallpaper & increase audio volume)

B) If you uninstall the theme make you sure, before reboot, to copy file eidpic.mbm to c:\system\data from e:\system\data

C) Save the sis file in a dir that no contains spaces & writing the extension
es: c:\name.sis --> oK

D) You can create a new theme and reinstall it (overwriting old theme), the UID assigned is developed by "symbian developer", then it's assigned ONLY for this sw

what would happen if I would install .sis application made by wallpapizer and I don't have patched fw?

I use FW 15, and I have install the sis
but, only wallpaper change (not full screen).
Is there anyone can help???

go to www.neodigital.it and apply the patch vith vklay to SX1_International-uk-de-it_12_0001.exe , then copy from z:\system\data eidpic.mbm to c:\system\data (or install a sis theme), now you can update your phone

(if after update the system don't find eidpic.mbm, it doesn't start... then copy it before or make a format and the file will be copied)

..i hope another language can be patched but not another fw version!!! ONLY 12

will be "trasferred" eidbic.mbm from z: to c:\data\system (the system look for this file in another dir.. c:\system\data wich is editable)

Then we can owerwrite eidpic.mbm and + wallpaper.mbm = fullscreen wallpaper

IF YOUR PHONE IS PATCHED
If you delete eidpic.mbm (or uninstall sis files), MAKE you sure to have a copy of eidpic.mbm in c:\system\data before reboot, if not the cell doesn't start (howewer formatting c:\ the file will be opied again)

FOR NON PATCHED PHONES
The sis installer copy 2 files to c:\system\data:
- by default background.mbm is stored in c:\sys\data, then the image will be displayed (normal wallpaper)
- by default eidpic.mbm is stored in z:\sys\data, then we cannot edit it... the patch change drive to store image and sis installer overwrite it

....if you install a sis themes change lower background because the upper is in z:\sys\data, not in c:\sys\data (<-- patch) and we not see it...
Uninstall sis theme and all is ok!
