C62 flashing

I tried to flash a Siemens C62 phone.
I used the following instructions:

Siemens C62 Flash tool


Installation:
1. Install “flash_programmer_for_siemens_setup.exe”
2. Copy “Hd0503-058-m” and “Hd0503-067-m” into “C:\Program Files\microcell\Flash Programmer” folder.
3. Install “PL-2303 Driver Installer.exe”


Settings:
1. Select Options -> Settings ->C62
2. Set Baud rate to 460800 bit/s
3. Select Root folder for software releases
4. Choose Software release
5. Choose Language package
6. Choose Customization package

Phone flashing process
1. Switch OFF the phone
2. Plug-in flashing cable
3. Press Flash button
4. Press shortly power button

Program detects correctly the phone, reads details, but i cannot start flashing process.
I tried both serial and USB cables. Is there a special cable? I repeat: program reads the phone.

Yes there is a speacial cable for C62
you can find it in attachment file
pay attention +12V is external power to Pin 9, don't put more than +12v and don't forget the diode 1N4148
this cable works perfectly , i already tried it , if you have any question i'm here to help you

I don't have a powered cable.
I modified a C55 cable, i shorted pin 3-5 and pin 4-7, i applied power (12V, 50 mA) through a 1N4148 diode, but flashing still doesn't start.
Does it have to be a powered cable?

Hello,
I have the cable from the schematic, but with flash programmer i get:

Waiting phone restart...
Uploading flash algorithm...
Flashing failed. The phone is not responding to load header command.

I tried several phones, but no joy

Any ideas?

hi.i have tried to install flash programmer version 2.71 and 2.83 but everytime i open the program it says:
there are no software releases available in D:\program files\microcell\flash programmer
i have tried different instruction that i have red in the forum but it always the same.
what i am missing here?
any suggestion please.

I already faced the same problem meneleo and soleved it
try to check if the folder contains the flash is like this : HD0503-083-M
and no subdirectories except : Flash , cust , language
and the flash's file name is like this : HD0503-083-001-M.SSW
if not rename the directory and flash file
if your problem persist , i'll give you an other solution

and in the same time I faced the same problem of non flashing , it displays phone non responding to load header command, but i'm trying to find the solution, when it'll be done i'll give it to you,

don't waste time , here is a good link to download different versions of C62 and it's 100% tested
http://c62.siemensgsm.ru/soft/index.html
but don't rename anything it's perfect
just check the contains of directory per exemple:
V28 it contains (hd0503-097-m\hd0503-097-m\HD0503-097-M)
so pay attention to cut only the last directory HD0503-097-M contains (Flash, Cust, Lang) and paste it directly in directory C:\Program Files\microcell\Flash Programmer
look at the pic and you'll understand more

hi.thanks for the link.i have already downloaded and the software is working now.i use the cable with 12 volts supply in pin 9.but this is what i get when i press flash and power button.

Flashing failed.
Detecting HW version failed.

could there be some problem in the hardware?

With the flash programmer, can I connect directly the PC COM1 port to the phone with the cable or do I need a "Unibox" in between ?

if you have the right cable you can flash it without the box

my cable is able to read log with logger and codes with griffin, but when i want to flash the phone i get this message, please help thx
when i changed config file to 1 or 3 it is error code 6
if config file is 4 or 2 i get
