check the path with your DMM meter....

hi.
be sure that the phone are not corroted with any liquid solution...
the path are goes to the CPU at the ends but u may reworks the simcard reader or can reflow the power ic under the casing...
it is possible the broken contact found in v3 models.. so the DMM would help.

Thanks smr26126... your solution worked, I removed the resistor and the phone worked perfectly after that. As a note, the phone was previously water damaged, but this still fixed it!

Hello,
I have one V3 with this problem(insert sim). I wnated to try the solution provided by you, but when i looked under the metal cover the svchematic doesnt match the phone. It is a little bit diffrent. On the left there are tree CXXX. Two placed horizontally (on schematic only one placed horizontaly) and one placed vertically(missing on chematic). Next to it there is vertically positioned DIODE. Is that the one i have to remove?

Is there another schematic for my version of the V3?

EDIT:

I have decidet to remove the DIODE on my own risk and NOW THE PHONE IS WORKING!!
THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

One more thing:

Now the phone writes - INVALID BATTERY. Is this a separete problem or it is because I removed the DIODE?

the schematic didn't match my phone either... resistors were on the board that didn't show up on the schematic... i just guessed at which one it was approximately by eyeballing the picture and matching it to the phone... looks like i guess right, because it fixed the problem.

I don't have the phone with me, nor do i remember which one it was... but i'm sure you'll figure it out.
