FAQ

Q: Do i need Prodigy, F1, Nemesis or Diamond to run NSS as a BB5 Simlock Logger ?

A: No. NSS runs as a standalone BB5 logger. You only need to download the
software, install it, plug the phone to the USB port with the supplied USB cable
and connect to it.

Q: Are the additional FBUS features limited in a Logger Mode ?
A: No. You can read info, read simlock status, read startup selftests etc.
The only feature that is limited is the BB5 USB flashing, that will require Diamond
plugged in, and valid application loaded.

Q: Can i upload the NPC(Nokia Public Certificate) into the phone using NSS in Logger mode and usb cable ?
A: Not at the current moment. You can upload only the default simlock data
into the phone. To upload NPC you will need Nemesis box or F1 device.
The RPL log is the same though, so you can have it as a backup and upload at
later date, when you purchase your F1 device.

Q: Where could i download the NSS software from?
A: You can download it from our web page.
The minimum version needed that supports this feature is 'Nemesis Service Suite Beta 1.0.37.3'

Q: How do i get logs calculated ?
A: If you need one file only and can pay via Credit Card/PayPal account, you can use this link, otherwise and for trade enquiries please send a mail to: [email protected]
