My patcher v2 is made for to patch 4 files in win32 version of Widcomm.
This patch cuts off license check in executable and dll files.
It's more or less universal, I tested it with Widcomm 5.1.0.1100 and below.
But it cannot work with win64 version of Widcomm, I don't use this OS and even didn't try to disassemble Widcomm's win64 files.

Phantasm's license patcher 1.8, afaik, patches the license file of the distributive in such a way that your dongle (with it's own VID and PID) becomes "licensed".
As for me, this way is more correct.
It can work with win64 Widcomm.
But there are some problems with localized versions of Windows.

So, the choice is yours

wbr,
bbsc.

I coud download the patcher v2 today.

to use it, you got to search for the files in the appropriate directories, either where the widcomm software is installed or in windows/system32. running windows, access to one file may be denied, you could copy it and patch the copy. then reboot the system with Bart PE or probably the safe mode and copy the patched file back again into its original location.

after the next boot under windows you can install your bluetooth device once you prepared the widcomm installer with your device's id (see other posts on that topic)

for me it works with the built-in bluetooth in a macbook (2007) with win xp sp2 under boot camp 1.4 beta
