„Gsm_sim2c“ versus „Sim_Emu 4.00“

Gsm_sim2c by Alf
„+“
display number of currently selected card
easy change number of characters for phonebook names
more number of SMS center
„-“
missing SAT
no separate broadcast control channel for each card
work not with Siemens

Sim_Emu 4.00 by Daniel
„+“
easy to use SAT
adapt number of SMS/Phone
different broadcast control channel (?)
power off no necessary
work with Siemens
„-“
only 14 characters for phonebook names
only one SMS center for each card
work not with old Panasonic (450/500)

My metod for Sim_Emu 4.00:
I use SIMedit 4.0 to write IMSI/Ki using SAT.
No mistake with type when use clipboard

The difference between SMSCs in my version and SIMEmu 4.0 is not the number because both have 8 SMSCs.

The difference is that SIMEmu has 8SMSc (one per active card) and does not allow to access the other 7...

My version has the same 8, all available at any time and just changes the order depending on the selected card.

I prefer this way because it accomplishes the same effect as having one SMSC per card with the "extra" that if you have less than 8 cards you can use their parameters to store different profiles, for instance, this was the setup I was using:

Operator A
Operator B
Operator C

Profile 1 -> Operator A, normal Text
Profile 2 -> Operator B, normal Text
Profile 3 -> Operator C, normal Text
Profile 4 -> Operator A, fax
Profile 5 -> Operator A, normal Text, but with only 1hour validity
Profile 6 -> Operator B, fax
Profile 7 -> Operator B, normal Text, but with only 1hour validity

Yes and this is better for me.
I can use for any active card 3 SMSC by my Trium.

And with Sim-Emu i have only one for active card.

I have question for Wojtek, so sorry that i'll write it in polish

Well....it works but it crashes very often ("Card Error"). Did you test SIM-EMU 4.0 with several of Siemens phones using polish providers (Era, Plus GSM, Idea).
Now for Daniel
As i promised, i have tested SIM-EMU. Results below :
- Siemens S45/ME45 with all providers. "Card Error" very often, impossible to use it normally instead of original SIM
- Siemens S25 - works quite good, the card crashes much less often, but cannot change positions using SAT without powering off the phone
- Siemens S35 - it also crashes very often and gettin' hangouts.

Those phones were tested with all polish GSM providers.
There was no problem with new Ericsson mobiles (t68, t39m), SIM-EMU works perfectly with erics.

I am also gonna test it with several of Nokia phones later and give the results here.

For Milenko and Beerman

For the moment, I cannot reproduce the problems of Siemens in Poland, because all the models that I'd tried in Spain work perfectly with all our provider (Airtel, Amena and Movistar).

The models I had tried was S35i, C35 and S25.

Did you obtain the same problems with 3.00 ?

When I discover something about this, I'll notify immediately.

Sorry and Thanks
