I am trying to troubleshoot a problem with my Dell XPS M1210 running Vista and my Motorola HT820 stereo headphones.
The headset appears to pair correctly with the Dell and everything seems to switch correctly but the built in speakers do not mute and the headset does not play. When I mouse over the speaker icon in the system tray, it advises that the Bluetooth Headset is playing and there is an X over the icon. I have confirmed that both the headset and the version of Broadcom drivers I am using both contain the A2DP profile. Is it the job of the Bluetooth profile to actually mute the speakers and switch the audio feed to the headset? If not what is responsible, the Audio drivers? I am running SigmaTel High Definition Audio CODEC. Please advise. Thanks Keith
