I tried the 64 bit with my ISSC vid 1131 dongle. No Go. wont even talk to my palm. I need com 4 for that and it starts with com 16. Tried the Trendnet TBW-101 dongle. Same problem. Will anything work with SP1 and /or Server 2k8/??? TIA Bill

The ISSC 1131 one you have is it the very 'paper thin' one?

thanks

I don't think so. It is transparent blue with a flashing green light when activated.
On the back side it says:
Type 1002
SE 200502

Does this help?

TIA

Bill

the server COM port is normally COM7. Nevertheless you can configure also an other one e.g. COM4 with the 'Bluetooth Local COM' tool in the Control Panel of Windows. My assumption is that you want to synchronize your palm with HotSync or ActiveSync (depends on you OS).

It HotSync's just fine. It is PALM OS. The problem is that VISTA SP1 or Server 2k8 does not like the driver to use the PAN Adapter.

It shows up in the device manager but says the driver is missing or corrupt Error code #39.

Therefore, I can use it to check my medical software and backup my PALM using HotSync but I cannot surf the web due to the driver problem.

As far as the Trendnet dongle goes, I purchased it in January of 2007 and have never been able to get it to work with my PALM. Even with the latest drivers.

Maybe I should just start over and by a new dongle.

TIA

Bill
