TT7 is for Tomtom PNA and Windows Mobile devices only. The E-series Nokia runs Symbian OS.

Installing Tom Tom to E71

I not that some are saying they have installed Tom Tom to E71 my question is How?

I have Tom Tom on my E61 but I can't see how to get it onto E71 as it's not recognised from the TT Home software.

Any help please.

the tomtom is not compatible with internal gps of nokia phones, (their own nokia map promotion). however there is a software that will become a bridge between internal gps and tomtom. this software will enable any nokia phone with internal gps to connect to tomtom.
email on swati4sweet@yahoo.co.uk for software and instructions

yeah it seems to be possible. some smart guys hacked TT6 to run with TT7 files.
you'd probably better do not try to use that unstable version, tomtom6 is OK on e71, even if you have to use the internal GPS hack (which doesnt work on mine right now, but on the n82 though).

u tried TomTom 6 OR TomTom 6 + internal GPS?

TomTom 6 works, internal GPS crack does not.

easy

I had the nokia E61 that came with tomtom6 and GPS module. I had no problems getting it to work on E71 - heres what i did:
Connect E71 via data cable into pc.
Inset memory card into reader/adapter and then insert this into pc.
Select option to show hidden files (on Tomtom card)
Copy all folders.
Paste to memory card option on phone (when your pc asks you what you want to do - tell it to treat as mass storage).
I then took out card and replaced it and it automatically installed.
No crack or hack, but i do still need to use GPS module.
