Samsung F480
Hi,
I am new to this so excuse my stupidity ![]() I am trying to unlock my f480 and its frozen, whenever i try to do the unlock from the program i get :- "Looking for phone... Phone detected. Mode: Samsung Error: PhoneModel Read!" I think this is a problem with me not getting the Qualcomm drivers to install properly as they don't show in the com port detect or in device manager. Any help on what i can do to get this to work would be greatly appreciated ![]() mark_1903 Last edited by mark_1903; 08-15-2008 at 18:39. |

you need to enter qualcomm mod,, for this you need the operator card the phone is locked to,,
enter menu(you must be able to use keyboard),, enter this *#782872# install driver and then read codes |

I have tried putting the phone in samsung mode but i am getting the same problem.
When i select the settings box i don't get the Qualcomm drivers listed, only COM1 - communication port and COM9 - Samsung CDMA modem. This is where i think my problem is. I have tried downloading the Qualcomm usb drivers but wot to i do with the files that the rar file contains :s Any help would be greatly appreciated |

so it mean that phone is not in qualcomm mode.
enter code: *#782872# and phone will be in qualcomm and now plug usb cable. If Your phone is freezed then U must have card with what phone works to able to enter any digits to phone(virtual keyboard on touch screen is locked while phone is freezed) b..r Quote:

I finally got a sim card that the phone was locked to. entered the card and got the phone on ok and used the *#872782# code to access the qualcomm mode.
Then connected the usb and started the kulankendi server and selected the F480 and selected unlock and clicked on unlock but i am still getting the error "Error: PhoneModel Read!". When i select read phone codes that is coming back ok but are all disabled and all 0's. When i select read unlock codes i getting the same error as above even though the phone is frozen and i shouldn't select it. I have tried changing the usb mode from qualcomm to samsung and i am still getting the same problem. I am sure this is a simple problem and i am doing something stupid lol Any help is appreciated. |
