BB5 User Code Read for Genie Standalone Clip - Released on 1st September 2008

- Place files to genie sd card content: \Program\misc
- Do not use it on Nokia E series phones!!!
- Genie Firmware v0.0.0.141r Required!

i cabt read code
i got this :
phone power on...
user code:
phone power off
All Done.

so as u can see no code readed .
im traying with nokia rm-303 5310 expresse music

how to fix this ?

Power the phone manually to make sure phone in local mode. Or select correct resistor on the adaptor to get phone in local mode.

Sorry for this question, but is it not possible to ad BB5 unlocking by testpoint to this box ?, maybe with some kind of adaptor ?

I don´t mean all new models, but the one´s that is supported by BB5-box and maybe advance-BB5, I know this is old now but it would still be usefull.

Hi, no we are not supporting BB5 TP since it is not working for all latest phones. But we have something special coming up this week and much more useful then this for genie user.

surprise is in sticky thread .

PS: with usercode reader i readed user code on 2630 phone , so i guess that it working on BB5 + DCT4+ not only bb5 .

Ive been trying this on n85 and 6500c but always get "Checking phone....Not found". The fone goes into local mode but get that message and fone then turns off. The connector is ok because I just used to unlock but fone is asking for usercode when I put in other simcard.
Any suggestions?

Does this actually run on v0.0.0.161r then?

Can anyone confirm that this works with latest Genie FW as Ive updated SD card and using 161r but always no phone found. Fone goes into test mode then I get message then fone goes off. Ive had to buy cycloneox just to read usercodes

Hi,

Test this. It is using USB pop up cable attached to Genie device.

I see still no news on this working with latest fw update

it would be nice for someone from this excellent support to confirm that there is a problem rather than letting users believe its only them that are having this problems. no reply for 5 days
