Garmin XT Maps (MapSource Version)
Let us all share our maps Requirements for maps to be included in the list: 1) All maps must be MAPSOURCE versions - not gmapsupp.img. 2) The map must be routable, and may not be prepared from a gmapsupp.img map. 3) New / Other maps to be included on the list must be in a better resolution than the existing maps. If you have a map, or have knowledge of a map that meets these requirements, please post the link here..... Fell free to download the maps you need..... Remember to thank me..... Hi all,
tamate can confirm this. Mapsource can be downloaded from Garmin's website. Extract the exe file to a temp folder and run the MAIN.msi file in the temp folder. This will install the complete Mapsource application and won't result in an error message that there is no valid application installed. Hope this helps. fugglefeet |

theres an unlock code but you also need the Product Key to install the map |

I do not know the difference from the .img file and a mapsource file. I downloaded the mapsource file from above (Philippines) and installed mapsource and its got me buggered how to use with the mapsource progy. Why not just post the .img files? Maybe a dumb arse question as I am new at this. But thanks to this forum I have new life in my PDA and my wifes nokia.
