U900L and F480L Unlock/Flash Solution - GSM-Forum

Please note that i´m not talking about U900 and F480 (QUALCOMM Platform) phones. I´m talking about U900L and F480L (SWIFT Platform) phones that isn´t supported by USTPro yet. So, if you need unlock or flash these phones, here is your way:

To UNLOCK:

- Remove supported SIM from phone and insert unsupported SIM, but do not insert it completely. Follow this picture:

- Power on the phone. Wait for initial screen (Insert SIM message) and type *2767*2878#. You will see "custom E2P reset" on screen. Push unsupported SIM to full fit on phone and wait to the phone reboots. Phone will power on with unsupported SIM and will get fully signal, but it won´t be unlocked yet.

- Type *7465625*638*00000000*00000000#. This will set network lock password to 00000000. You will receive message "Network Locks Personalized".

- Now type #7465625*638*00000000#. You will receive message "Network Locks Disabled" and your phone will be fully unlocked.

TO FLASH:

You need to use official downloader (OneNAND Downloader v1.6 For PNX5230) to flash your phone (work from both models). You can get it here:

OneNAND Downloader v1.6

Flashfile for SGH-U900L:
U90LVIHF3_H (Custom Logo Operator: Vivo Br. LP: En, Es, Pt-Br)

Flashfile for SGH-F480L:
48LUTHG2_H (Custom Logo Operator: Claro Br. LP: En, Es, Pt-Br)

Now you can flash BIN, TFS or both files to your phone.

i'm doing this with my F480L, but when the custom reset ends it appears a black screen that says incorrect sim card it only allows to make an emergency call but i cant dial any numbers.
Help!

Well I have done the Unlock part but i can't understand the Flash Part i've download the programs and files for F480L but i dont know what i have to do!!!!! can u help meeee plz!!!!

HERE is the Service Manual for F480L. This manual is in Brazilian Portuguese language. If you can´t understand this language, just follow the pictures from pages 9-14 of Service Manual and you will know how to flash your phone. A quick guide:

- Start OneNAND Downloader
- Match serial port of Downloader with UST serial port
- Connect E210 cable to UST port
- Select BIN and TFS files on Downloader
- Release battery from phone
- Attach cable to phone and press "Start"
- Attach battery to phone (fully charged) and WAIT (10~15 sec.)
- Loader will start and will identify phone flash type. Press "OK" on window
- Press "Download" and wait for finnish operation
- It´s same procedure to flash U900L. Of course, you will need to select correct flash files for current working model.

Thank u So much for the explication but the manual link is uncorrect or isn't good at all because i can't download nothing but im gonna try to flash my phone with the last steps that you write

Edit: ok i understand what i have to do, but this will flash my phone something like format a PC, the question is what can i do if i flash it , i have read that i can install it a new Firmware but in the same way i have read that there isn't firmware for F480L or not can u tell me plz??? Something happens with download link... end name of archive is SGHF480LWEB**LowV4_280109.pdf (remove the asterisks). Looks like forum filter misunderstood me

... Copy link to notepad, correct the name of archive and make download. Looks like you are a "end user"... If yes, i dont advise you to play with your phone if you don´t know exactly what you are doing for. Answering your question: this will flash your phone like reinstalling windows PC. In the first post, you can find a download link for F480L firmware, and for Downloader. Anyway, why do you need to flash your phone?

well is true that i dont know so much about this but the only reason that i have to flash it is for put on it a new firmware diferent at the original (sorry if i dont make me understand) because the default firmware just *****!!!!! its so unpersonalisable.... for the same reazon im looking for a diferent firmware but i think there isnt one

Ok. Only firmware version that i have was previous posted (THAT one). It´s from Claro operator (Brazil) and it´s not custom. I think that you will not like it. Anyway, i believe that you haven´t the appropriate tools to write firmware in this phone (defaut USB cable that comes with phone won´t work), and, if something goes wrong in flash proccess (not so unusual) you will have a dead phone. So, my advice is: forget about it...
