These models are SL3 phones and cannot be unlocked yet.. To everyone else, do not try to unlock or flash phones with such versions.

SL- Sim Lock... ang 2 at 3 (SL2,SL3) ay simlock structure and routines. IT refers to the type of lock on a handset. There are handsets like 6300, 6500S and 5310 which can have either SL2 or SL3 locks on. All of the above handsets that are being manufactured at the moment have SL3 and I am sure we will be seeing many more to follow.

Genie, UB, DM3, Dejan and now JAF box all have the ability to unlock some or all BB5, BB5+, SL2 handsets etc....The processes any of these teams use to unlock these handsets will be of no use to unlock SL3 phones as Nokia have completely changed the firmware in the handsets in SL3 Security Zone.

It's a new concept in BB5 - security functions are executed by special applications. Nokia call them Protected Application (PA_XX). So difference is that PA_SL phones will have PA_SL application, the PA_SL2 phones will have the new updated version - PA_SL2(thats actual application in flash).

Security area (like virtual low level eeprom) formatted by PA_SL application is not compatible with PA_SL2 application and vice versa.

Has been tried already but Not Successful. These SL3 has a new firmware that cannot be downgraded.... whether using universal rap erase from mt or ub.

The only successful experiment which was made by moulnsky is using universal erase bin of mt and flashing to its original firmware but still locked.

In effect, those who mistakenly flash these new pone with SL3 security lock with any firmware can be restored by simply following moulnsky experiment.
