What ever heat temp you wanna use its up to you, follow the rules , start from a gentle temperature and work your way up, as for me i start from 280-350-450 depends, how ever i i do same with the air flow and very importantly do not spend much time heating , so you dont damage other components, some boards dont like too much heat.
