Dear Rickyman,

You do not need a complex tool to break this connection through via. Turn a sharp knife or scalpel a few times when the tip is inserted to the via whole. This way you remove permanently the original connection between the LED and its driver. The purpose is to reuse the LED for a different function - see further steps
You do not need to drill through the via

Theoretically, you can drill through to kill the connection, but unless you have a properly sized drill bit, we do not recommend this.

Best regards

4. Kill this via-connection. Cut it with a scalpel or drill over it."

Is it just cut or drill this point or make test point to ground on processing? What the meaning to drill this point?
