The final Diablo 4 open beta is happening in May 2023

Blizzard Entertainment has officially announced the final public beta of Diablo 4, aimed at testing server capacity ahead of the game's release on June 6, 2023. The aptly named "Server Slam" event will be available to all players beginning May 12 at 12:00 PM PDT. It ends May 14th at 12:00PM PDT, and the full 48 hours are essentially free.

Like the game's previous beta, it will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Windows PC. It will also feature couch co-op for the console, with cross-play and cross-progression for friends on all platforms.

The only problem here is that you'll have to be patient to actually access the game. Given its "server slam" moniker, Activision Blizzard likely anticipated trouble ahead. While the developers have tweaked the servers after previous early access sessions, the popularity of the experience may still lead to long queues and other frustrations for keen players.

Keep in mind that this Open Beta is still a test of the game servers, and you should be able to enjoy the ride.

Ahead of launch, Blizzard gave an exhaustive overview of what players can expect when they play the game's prologue and first act--and there are a few things players should be aware of in this assessment. On the one hand, it's important to acknowledge that character progress made during the open beta won't carry over into the main game.

This means any achievements will need to be repeated when the game launches in June 2023. If you want to experience the game in a whole new way, you'll want to hold off on joining the open beta. And you can also buy diablo 4 gold when in need.

How to Join the Diablo 4 "Server Slam" Beta Weekend
To join the upcoming Diablo IV public beta -- the last public play before release -- you'll need to download the "Diablo IV - Server Slam" demo (PC via Battle.net) on your console of choice , or the respective Xbox and PlayStation Stores) will launch on May 10, 2023 at 12:00PM PDT.

Once you've downloaded your files, just wait for the servers to go live on May 12, 2023 at 12:00PM PDT. You will have a full 48 hours to play the game before the servers shut down at 12:00 PM PDT on May 14, 2023.

During the Open Beta weekend, you'll be able to play the prologue and opening scene of the game - but the Server Grand Slam also includes an extra surprise: the introduction of Ashava, a new demonic boss that players will need to team up to fight. Ashava will start fighting on May 13 at 9:00AM PDT, and will be available every three hours on weekends.
