With USB-Smart it's very hard to get the phone in test-mode. If you use UFS use UFS ATRz to unlock it. Direct unlock not possible, manual unlock. (Not accepted simcard, press '*', 'left', 'left', '*')
If not using UFS, best with fully charged battery. Keep trying with power button. It's hard but, if you lucky you will get him in test-mode. So USB-Smart can read codes.
