An .hex file is a text format that represents binary data (with checksums).

If you open it in a programming software it should open correctly.

If your programming software has "dual" display of the buffer (most have) showing on the left the binary data, on the right it's ASCII representation, on the right side you should *NOT* have "10000" ...
