this is from FPS-11 user guide:
FPS-11 is composed of four main blocks:
• USB2.0 HUB provides USB connections for each flashing port
• Data processing block generates the actual flashing signals
• Terminal power supply generates flashing/operating voltages for ports
• Main power supply
Nokia smart card SX-2 is necessary for mobile terminal programming using FPS-11.
Smart card refused phone flashing authorization. Following reasons might cause this problem:
1. Smart card has expired.
2. Smart card has been disconnected, even for a very short time.
3. Connection to the smart card has been lost.
Solution:
1. In this release, there is no way to insert the smart card, once it has been removed after the PIN code has been verified. You have to restart Phoenix components.
2. If smart card cannot be detected after startup, it might be damaged.
3. If smart card is detected after startup and PIN code verification succeeds but veryfication fails again, smart card might have expired.
