No trick, the problem is such an project it is really complicated and if is developed by an single person it will take a long time.
He had to extract & debug all FLS function algorithm and to implement in another HW and of course to maintain compatibility with Ph & Wt sw.
Imagine only to test, and after this to manufacture....
