Some features you can turn off to max battery life, similar to what have been said already.

Background app refresh
Wifi & Bluetooth (especially if theres no wifi in school)
Unnecessary notifications (Do you really need to know each time someone likes your photo on instagram?)

I have face same problem..... I have change u2 as well now it's work gud..... Same time if the batt connecter loose aso gt problem pls resolder it....

Your problem is in BATT_SWI rail.

I like your idea, today I have iPhone 7 no audio. Then I try to fix audio ic line 3 pad pinout then I make jumper its audio working good,

but problem 1% battery sometimes charging jump and restart
