iPhone 7 stuck in recovery & full storage

I received an iPhone 7 from a friend. For what I know this device hasn't been updated for a while and the owner doesn't have a backup. It has been used for a long time while constantly running out or free memory.
Now the iPhone won't start any more and seems stuck in recovery mode. The owner doesn't want to lose the precious media and is seeking for a possibility to save its data (willing to pay).
I tried 3utools to update the device in recovery and DFU mode. I don't know of anything else to try. Or perhaps someone knows a pro that can fix this issue.
Any help would be appreciated

hi friend, if the memory is full the device cannot be updated, each update takes up more space . You should work to revive the phone without having to reset it. It is not always easy. Have you tried disconnecting the battery or changing it? maybe it can get out of recovery mode

Thank you for your reply. I haven't tried disconnecting the battery. Will see if that does something.
Any other help is appreciated!

I disconnected the battery for the weekend. Unfortunately it did not help.

Clean the storage and after this, you will be able to update it.

You can update it with IOS 15 and keep your data. It'll allow you to update the phone even if the storage is full. Tested and working.
