I have a question, it may seem silly but i don't care is sillier who doesn't ask.

I am about to by HCU Client dongle, my question is; using this tool do i still have to buy credits to access all the funtions, like frp or imei repair or can i do it for free ?
does this license ever expire?

All services on DC-phoenix and HCU softwares are free with HCU dongle, license on it does not expire.

I am trying to change the phone model of honor 5x from KIW-AL10 to KIW-L21 so that i can rebrand it from china to another region.

The phone should be running Android 9 otherwise bootloader will remain locked until downgraded

If its on Android 5.1 then patch date is irrelevant and service should work regardless on your unit.
