EFI app bruteforce MacBook Air 2015

Now i'm trying to bruteforce efi firmware password on MacBook Air 2015.

I have leaved box connected on pc to work this night.

This morning pc is on recovery screen, without firmare screen, but box continued to work and search code.

Why box have not registered the correct finded pin?

It's bug of box or bug of macbook?

Now i have rebooted pc, i have password screen, and relaunched efi bruteforce

You already update the EFI app also, right? For our engineer test our side , there is no issue. But they will test more to debug it. And thanks for finger it out . We will fix any possible issue.

Hello,

If you can make a quick video it will be of great value, quality does not have to be all that great.

But, i just want to make sure that what you observed is not actually the normal, intended operation workflow of Apple EFI app when you start the mac with ALT key, because there is indeed a moment where the box will continue for one more code and a bit more which might be exactly what you observed, for example:
  1. HDBOX Enters 1200+ codes and gets to 1234,
  2. HDBOX Enter code 1234, and the mac accept the code, Now , Mac will display a selection with a hard-disks to boot,
  3.
HDBOX Waits the EFI timer( default is 12 seconds) and then Enter code 1235, After a few seconds the mac starts to boot from default/selected hard-disk,

  4. HDBOX At this very moment will display the message “Code found” and Show correctly that 1234 is INDEED the real code.
Please note, that this chain of events is different if computer was started in Recovery Mode ( Command + R ) and that is why we always suggest that you start the mac with ALT key, find out the Firmware password and then boot into Recovery Mode with known password.

Waiting your video with great interest,
HDBox support team.

I have booted Mac with ALT option, not in recovery mode. Box found code (for example 2986) and continue to try other code.

Mac show selection of boot but box continue to try others codes.
