i have problem i dont these three steps but screen password is sitll on screen ,,
my phone is G610F Android Version 6.0.1
data is encrypted ,,

It must be same android version and same security {binary}

My phone lock still on screen i did follow your step but with no result i also try with boot file the result was the same my phone j320h 5.1

with this phone use make kernel to reset lock
boot.img must be the same as in phone
