When WiFi is grayed out on an iPhone, it's most likely due to the damage of WiFi module. Unfortunately, you can't just swap the WiFi IC. The WIFI address is linked and stored in the NAND chip. So in order to replace the WiFi chip, usually, we must use a PCIE NAND chip programmer to unbind the WiFi address, but in this video, we use iRepair P10 DFU Box. Does this box put the iDevice directly into so called 'Purple' mode? No need macOS & Purple app?

Purple says the device show purple when iPhone enters DFU mode. Just take the iRepair P10 DFU Box connect to your phone, and then it can one-click entry DFU mode.
