it is not problem in version of software. Try to repeat operation and reconnect the phone many times, Chip SN must be FFFFFFFF.

Tried with different USB-ports (2.0\3.0), several Qualcomm drivers, did it with\without battery and got nothing. What could be the problem?

Done with old 1.9.9.4 version, it uses “disable Mi services” function. Just flashed device via Mi assistant, the phone booted up on normal screen, after that I was able to disable Mi sevices.

The phone came back (stupid client) in additional with FRP lock on board. So I made some researches on it.
Some strange things happened, when I tried to reset FRP (Mi 8 lite has been selected) I got nothing:

Log file "C:\Program Files (x86)\Octoplus\Octoplus_FRP_Tool\LOG\24-09-2021_22-35-01.log" closed (24.09.2021 22:38:51).

So you can see from the log, even with "Chip SN: 01A C4B8F" FRP lock has been wiped. Not with "FFFFFFF" only... Seems like software got access to the phone memory in "EDL autodetect" mode. Unfortunately "EDL autodetect" mode doesn't have Mi acc remove option.
I guess there is a small bug in software, doesn't it? Is it possiple to add Mi acc removing for "EDL aouto detect mode" ?
