Hi everyone, sorry for bringing this up again.

I was wondering does anyone know the Nokia 8 TA-1004 ISP or JTAG points by any chance?

I tried looking around and I can't seem to find anything.

Because of my bricked device, I am thinking of going down the JTAG route to extract my data.

This is the absolute last resort as I REALLY don't want to loose any of my data, primarily Contacts and Messages

Hope to hear back from you wonderful lot!

use EDL and emmcdl to dump entire flash, then you can examine filesystem and extract needed data

Thanks very much for that, I will give it a go.

However I still think it is important to know what is the ISP of the Nokia 8 TA-1004, might you know it perhaps?

It amazes me that so many other mobile phones has their ISP points discovered but for almost 5 years since his phone's release...there is NO information about it.

How do people/engineers discover the ISP points of a device perhaps??

I ask because the EDL on my Nokia 8 TA-1004 is very unreliable.

I have short test points on board but it doesn't activate it.

It only goes to EDL Mode if I leave USB connected for 15 minutes until I get pop-up notification. If I disconnect and re-connect, again I have to wait 15 minutes.
Even after in this mode, the device does not communicate with software at all

This is why I ask for ISP points, so I can just take full dump of UFS chip, and hopefully start again.

If you don't know ISP points, how does person discover them?

Hope you understand! :'(
