be5 flash- protected!!!

be5 flash- protected!!!
I have some phones where addresses from 0 -5000h are read protected. I can read rest of the flash correctly. I can write all the flash correctly. But as I do not have 04D28h 32 byte information I can't make correct flash with 124 flasmaker.
Any Ideas ?
Any advice?

It seems, you have BE5 phone with NEW flash chip (ID: 989c9090)

There is NO free sw, which can read/write flash.
If i am right, you have only one possibility to get licenced sw.

comunicatel 05-09-2002 15:34

All the addreses till addr. 10000h are filled with
98009C0000001A00.
It seems that this is a fujitsu 989c*** but acording to the value of your soft it should be id 989c001a ,wich I think is not supported correctly again by any of the destributed software.
I nead to read only 32 bytes from addr. 04D28h to patch the firmware to work correctly

Din , Do you from mcomm tendiously make be5 -testool to write this values in "98009C0000001A00" 0-10000h .
If so Why.Just to damage our phones if flash is ID: 989c9090.
It would be better to write a messagebox saying " buy the pro version to read this flash". But I have readed wrong values and flash and the only decsion is to read a phone of the same sort and flash again or with "be4- loto_repair".
And I do not know whether the pro version of mcon supports ID :989c001a

Dear Comunicatel

Of course your phone is FULLY supported by BE5 ToolBox by MCOMM.

If you would like to know, if your phone has new flash chip (ID: 989c9090, NOT 989c001a - this ID doesn`t exist), just download TEST version of BE5 ToolBox from www.mcomm.info ...

... when BE5 ToolBox say "Toshiba - Not supported", you can be sure, that you have phone with NEW flash chip

Another think - your phone doesn`t have FUJITSU, but TOSHIBA flash

... another one thing, i am NOT developer of MCOMM sw, but i am only a oficial reseller of MCOMM. If you will read "About MCOMM" section on www.mcomm.info, you will know it ;)

and last think : you don`t need to damage your phone. Just use BE5 ToolBox TEST version to check if the phone is supported with this version or NOT. If NOT, don`t FLASH your phone, if yes, you can DO what you want with the phone ;) If you want to flash also phones with NEW flash chip (ID: 989c9090), you could buy *** you know what ;):D (one interesting thing - BE5 ToolBox is one of the MOST QUICK flash tool as i know - full flash of BE5 4MB in 5:00:38 - tested on AMD 800MHz)

Hi din,
in my ocasion ToolBox did not say "Toshiba - Not supported",
It just began to read flash . I needed the original to put another language from another flash. When the phone became dead I tried to find the reason and I found that the addreses from 0h till addr. 10000h are filled with
98009C0000001A00. That 's the reason why my phone is dead.
I flashed with another firmware- the phone is alive but could not accept card , becase incorrect values of addr. 04D28h .
I tried another mcomm flasher with another phone It said flash type fujitsu 989c and began to read and again All the addreses till addr. 10000h were filled with
98009C0000001A00.
Din thanks for You answer but I think thath this flash is not supported yet by mcomm software

To Comunicatel:

Our software fully supports TOSHIBA flash chips - the SW name is

BE5 ToolBox by MCOMM . (however not free)

There is also free version of BE5 ToolBox Test version, with this you can see, when connected ,whether it is FUJITSU or TOSHIBA - not supported.

YOU ARE USING OLD TOOLBOX by EMSI, and this was coded really long time ago when there was no TOSHIBA in BE5, so therefore it doesn't recognize this flash chip correctly.

And if you don't know what you do you can DAMAGE your phone, because of incorect datas in first few bytes of the flash.

Take care,

EMSI -= MCOMM =-

No, emsi
I used BE5Tool-TestVersion.exe it just began to read flash and wrote bin file to disk . This can write bin to phone correctly but could not read the first 10000h bytes correctly.
I used other soft to read fro these phones too:
1.TOOLBOX by EMSI 0987-1.15 or simillar does not read at all.
2. alc workshop lite 5 - mcomm does not read at all
3.all alcatel by mcom 2001 same result as 1. bu identifies flash as fujitsu 989c .
4. alc tool by gsmbrothers the same result as your tool
That I want to say that the soft did not say unsupported flash Id .
Maybe its a new type of flash unrecognized by your tools ,emsi
Finally I want to say that appreciate your wonderfull sotware but in this way , you soft did not help me

emsi 05-10-2002 22:17

The full version of BE5 ToolBox supports flash chip ID 989c (TOSHIBA).

But sorry, this is not free.
